History
2004
- New Corporate Office opened in Bohemia, NY.
2000
- CFE acquires Comtronic Associates Inc. and Comtronics
South (Midlantic Operations) and opens new corporate
office in Fairfield, NJ. Comtronic Associates Inc
established in 1958.
1999 - CFE Midlantic adds branch office in Maryland
with addition of 2 salespeople covering Maryland and
Virginia.
1998 - Components for Electronics opens up CFE New
England est. August 1998.
1994
- Components for Electronics and Sprung & Rea
join forces - Sprung established in 1927.
1994
- Components for Electronics and Wright Rep join forces
opening up CFE Mid-Atlantic.
1990
- Harold Gray Associates and Components For Electronics
join forces and merge.
1983
- Henry E. Heissenbuttel & Stephen D. Race purchase
Harold Gray Associates from Harold Gray.
1982
- Stephen D. Race joins Harold Gray Associates.
1981
- Henry E. Heissenbuttel joins Harold Gray Associates.

- Joseph G. Norton purchases Components For Electronics
from father, Joseph F. Norton.
